Shoot Your Shot

When we see somebody we like there are a lot of different feelings experienced at that moment. We can either act on the good energy, by approaching the person with a line of poetry to impress them in our favor, or we can ignore the opportunity and let life run its course. Some people believe that the things in life that are meant to be always find their way of coming together eventually. But others believe in the method of "shooting your shoot", not letting the opportunity pass but taking advantage of it no matter the outcome of the situation is.

But I always wonder why some people are so much more open to introducing themselves to new people while others are more hesitant when it comes to situations like this. I guess it comes with the territory of comfort. Everyone always has those butterfly feelings when put in front of the person of their interest but it is how we deal with that moment of discomfort the separates us in these situations.

I am more of a laid back person. Not always so anxious to find the next person that sparks my eye. I don't lean toward either side of this tilting belief, I stand in my own lane when it comes to these things. I say this because some days I approach any girl I want, then some days I'll lay back and enjoy the beauty of their presence. You don't always need to be so outspoken when trying to make yourself an item to someone. The small talk, or brief smile and wave can actually take you far places, trust me I know this from experience.

Opportunities present themselves every day, it is our decision to either take advantage of them or let them pass. Neither decision is wrong nor right it really just depends on the type of person you are and the feeling you experience in these everyday encounters. And really to speak to both sides I can say this, when shooting your shot the only bad outcome is the art of being turned down and for the more relaxed group of people the negative outcome for them is never knowing. Slight flaw in that approach but what works best for some people is the reason why they are the way they are. Everyone has a different approach to these situations and that is what separates us, creates diversity in mindset which is not a bad thing that some may believe.

So shoot your shot, however you feel the shot should be taken. Don't give in to the opinions of other to feel the need to fit in. We are all unique and approach things differently. And in closing I know that these are the things that make us great as people. I am inspired by people's desire to be different and brake away from the walls of the norm. We were put here to create, produce and make change. So lets not forget these things through our everyday encounters.

Choose Your Space

What do you do when things are not going your way? Every day we live is not the best, we experience setbacks and bad mornings every once in a while. But the question is how do we handle these things? Do we react in the positive or do we resort to the negative. Channeling bad energy is bad for no living being. These vibes take the joy away from a person, casting you into a set of mind that can be broken, but is tough to get out of if we allow ourselves to remain in these spaces.

When a person allows the negative to affect them they have also created a space for the people around them. I know I am not the only person that has experienced a situation like this, a person in the room has negative energy and the whole room either gets quiet or resorts to this blank state of mind. These are the bad effects of negativity and the power it has when we allow it to take us over. I know that situations happen in our lives to make us resort to these spaces, but it comes a time where we have to rise above these situations. It is very difficult to smile trough pain and struggle, I get that but this is where we have to channel that interior strength we all inhabit.

I think it is great when people can flip a negative into a positive. Yes we all do have bad days but it is key from us to shake off the bad, because the feeling we get from positivity is priceless. This thing called life is a challenge and we are all players of this overwhelming game play. Moving through these levels of life, with their different ranges of difficulties, we move with great caution and precision. But through all these levels I have to always stress this one thing and that is for us to maintain positive energy through it all. In doing this we build strength, strong motivation to do things and most of all a good space in energy.

We as people do better and feel better when the outside world that surrounds us is positive. Knowing where I am from many would wonder how you can see positive energy when the city that raised you has its fair share of negativity. And my answer to them would be the cleaning of my perspective and the shifting of my belief system. Making the best of what I know surrounds me. And I can also speak from those who moved away from the negativity and were placed in more positive environment for the betterment of themselves, being far from it but understanding it all. Respecting those who struggle with all of the negativity and congratulating all who come out of negativity into positive spaces.

Place of Content

I rise to a darken hallway, escaping my deepest thoughts. I'm awaken from my nightly meditation by the chilling breeze of the morning atmosphere. As I walk into the narrow, marble floored, white walled cave. The bright chandelier hangs above my place of peace. To some this may just be a normal place, but to me this is where my day begins, this is where I see myself for who I really am. Not just the outside appearance, but who I am on the inside. My place of content is my bathroom mirror.

The art of reflection, the knowledge of knowing myself and being able to accept myself for who I really am, and not just the person people see me as. All three of these feelings are met when I step into my realm of peace. Many people care more about how they are seen by the outside world, that they get caught up trying to be accepted and lose sight of themselves in the process. This is why you have to remain true to who you are, know yourself and continue to pursue your peak of greatness.

So this is where my racing thoughts all come together, this is where I not only look into the eyes of my reflection but I look into the person I am reflecting. Very introspective moment to live in. Before moisturizer is applied to my twisted hair, before the shirt, before the pants, before I take my step in the sneakers of the day. This place is where this young kid has his brightest thoughts and faces his darkest fears.

I am inspired by my desire to be different. I try my best not to follow trends, instead I like to create my own. And I never allow my environment to have a negative effect on me. Being optimistic. Shedding light on the darkest situations. Having your own mindset in this one minded society. These are all keys to finding content inside yourself and being a difference in this (hypothetically speaking) cloned society. These days you seem to have more people in worry than in happiness. And instead of being optimistic, everyone looks at the glass half empty when it's really ready to overflow.

I have practiced the art of being optimistic and also keeping my mind in a place of content. Trusting yourself to make the right decisions. Making an impact in your community. Making the best out of every situation and making sure you are always headed to a positive goal and striving for greatness. These are all the racing thoughts that travel through my mind in my place of content.
