Love Yours

Being able to enjoy the company of others around you is a great feeling. When you have people in your life that build you up instead of breaking you down brings strong chemistry into your life. Growing up you always hear about the village it takes to raise a child, in other words there is a supporting cast that has a tremendous impact on your growth. We grow and we learn from all things that surround us and every person that provides a spark that ignites the light that guides us through this journey of life. The support system is key for you to take sides with and hold a firm grip to. At some points in our growth we began to drift away from these strong connections we have. But in reality it is those outside forces that start to effect the choices you decide to make during your development. There are many different forces that shape us into the people we have become or are growing to embody. But let's talk about these different stages.

When we began to grow into that teenage stage there is a huge transition on how we view others beliefs and even the teachings of our upbringings. This is where we started to feel the nature of popularity and being accepted by our fellow peers. It's funny thinking back about those times and remembering how defiant I could be sometimes. Never understanding why so much work and teachings were being pushed to me, but it is now in this transition into adulthood that you understand everything that you were being presented to was all for the benefits of your growth. Maturity doesn't come with age but the older you are I can ensure to you that it you are exposed to more things. Your growth takes effect in many different places and stages throughout your life.

So the question comes to my mind, how do we appreciate the company of the supporting cast? I know how much power they have. When you have people in your life that can pick you up when you start to tumble, or even those people that shake you up when you need some adjustments. All of those powers that surround you help shape you into the person you grow into every day. Those teachings running through your head constantly, the voices that keep you in line. We need that extra push in this life full of ups and downs. The lessons we learn all should always remain embedded in all of us. No person is who they are without the people around them. The support keeps you in a good space, where you can remain free from any negativity and there is a covered ride through the pushing through of life and growth.

  2. There is saying: you are who you hang with. SO, if you are a person that hang with a lot of positive minded people, then you are also a positive person. On the other hand, if you are someone that hangs out with those that do a lot of negative and dangerous things, then most likely you are associated with them. SO, I know exactly what you are talking about with this blog lesson because people underestimate the power of a strong influence, peer pressure, and just friends in general. Great blog post!

  3. I definitely agree with you, and with Khalil above---you are who you choose to surround you. It's up to you to decide who you spend your time with, and that can change the person you become. Furthermore, changing those habits may be harder over time, but nonetheless, it's crucial to appreciate those those closest to you.
